OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL & STANTON ST JOHN PARISH COUNCIL INVITE YOU!
Drop-In Session: Shepherd’s Pit Lane Proposal
📍 Stanton St John Village Hall
📅 Wednesday 12 November 2025
🕖 7:00pm- 8:30pm
Have your say on the future of Shepherd’s Pit Lane!
Oxfordshire County Council is proposing to transform Shepherd’s Pit Lane into a quiet, safe, and accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists. The idea is to install a modal filter — such as a farmer’s gate or bollards — to reduce through-traffic while keeping access for residents and landowners.
What this means for our community
- 🚸 Safer Travel: Less traffic means safer journeys for children, older residents, and cyclists.
- 🚲 Sustainable Transport: A calm, direct route from Stanton St John to Headington and Oxford.
- 🌳 Health & Wellbeing: Encourages walking and cycling for healthier, more active lives.
- 🌤️ Access to Nature: Easier ways to enjoy our beautiful countryside.
- 🗺️ Part of Oxford Greenways: Linking local routes to the wider network.
